Air Resource Management
Air Resource Management Division is the coordination body of the implementation of national air quality management policies and regulations in partnership with all stakeholders related to air quality management. Under this mechanism, monitoring vehicle emission testing program, controlling stationary source emissions, activities related to indoor air quality management, fuel quality improvement programs, monitoring of ambient air quality, and awareness creation will be carried out.

National Ozone Unit
The Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) ratified both Vienna Convention (VC)and Montreal Protocol (MP) in 1989 and established the National Ozone Unit under the then Ministry Transport, Highways, Environment and Women's Affairs. Since then the NOU function under the Ministry to which the environment portfolio is assigned.
National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment serves as the National Focal Point (NFP) for the Vienna convention and it’s Montreal Protocol on Substances that deplete the ozone layer.
